7. Centering columns
a. The purpose of this procedure is to adjust symmetry between both columns. This requires that
one of the columns be permanently fixed to the floor to use as reference while the other one is
adjusted to it using a special tool call the “Displacement Tool’.
b. The actual measurements are acquired by extending two metal bars attached to each of the
column’s support brackets (Table) and extending them horizontally to meet in the middle of
both columns. We refer to the bars as “Center positioning bars” (CPB)
c. Attach the CPBs to the columns (see image)
d. Attach the displacement tool at the bottom of the column not yet tightened to the Nivell plate.
(usually Lateral assuming you started the process installing the Frontal column first.)
e. Set the perpendicularity and distance between the columns (see image)
