agency is very skimpy.

excellent benchmarking information to use in
building your business plan and pro forma as
well as measuring your agency as it develops.
O. Hiring, Managing and Compensating Insurance
Agency Personnel published by The National
Alliance Research Academy, is an excellent
resource for just what it says.
P. The Best Practices Study published annu-
ally by the Independent Insurance Agents
and Brokers of America, based on research
conducted by Reagan Consulting, is another
excellent resource on benchmarking for your
business plan and agency management. It is
generally more sophisticated than Growth and
Performance Standards.
