We are welcoming another speaker on Wednesday 6 April and look forward to seeing you at this interesting event.

Many will know that abortions were made legal in Northern Ireland but there is staunch reluctance to follow through
with actions. Our speaker, Naomi Connor is Co-convener of Alliance for Choice. She is a feminist and has been a long
-time advocate and campaigner on equality rights, access and justice. Naomi has personal experience of travelling to
access abortion healthcare and also works as an Abortion Doula providing direct support and assistance to women
and pregnant people on their abortion journey.

Naomi’s talk will focus on the campaign in Northern Ireland for free,
safe, legal, local and stigma free abortion access. She will also examine
the need to remove abortion from the criminal framework in which it
currently resides in the UK and ensure women and pregnant people
have access not only to rights, but also reproductive justice. She will
highlight the necessity for genuine bodily autonomy to be realised for
every woman who needs it.
