Betsy was awake instantly as if jolted.

“You will do ‘what’ for me? Did I hear it right? Are you alright?” her rapid questions were like an

automatic weapon fire.

“I am absolutely fine Bet,” he said using her pet name after eons. “I have been thinking for long

that I must lighten some of your burden; Jonathan’s going to college and your extended involvement

in social work must have put considerable stress on you. I know I have been a little insensitive so

farrrr...”

Betsy was out of the bed and hugging him even before he completed his sentence.

“I don’t know what has got over you Dan Webber, but I love it. Thanks.”

They held each other tight. Dan slowly whispered, “Thanks for taking such good care of me and

the house despite your current mental state and workload. You go back to bed; I will call you once

breakfast is ready.” He gently led her to the bed, made her sit down, and quietly walked out of the

bedroom, leaving happily shocked Betsy behind.

Dan left for office after finishing a leisurely intimate breakfast with Betsy. Smile refused to leave

him throughout the journey as he reflected on the morning. He was pleased with himself for being

able to use his work learnings to make Betsy so happy; he was filled with an unfamiliar energy that he

had never experienced before. It was exhilarating!

‘How could I have missed this before?’

‘Can I use it at work? How and Where should I start?

He thought of Tom Adams. ‘These learning will immensely benefit Tom too.’ He realized. ‘Should I try to

recreate the Ron experience with him? That will probably be the right start.’
