Dan halted and looked up at Ron who was speaking with a quiet smile on his face, “What NOT
to say is even more important than what to say! Think about it.” He paused for a few seconds to
allow it to sink in and continued, “Have a nice weekend Dan. See you next week. Say hello to Betsy.”
Dan walked out of Ron’s office with excitement on his face. Even Ron’s last-minute shock-therapy
was unable to dampen his feelings. He did not want to waste even a minute before summarizing
today’s thoughts. ‘I must capture them before the weekend chores get me,’ he thought.
While walking toward his office, he called Betsy.
“Hi Bet. How was your day?” He listened to her enthusiastic response. When she finished, he
continued, “Sorry, I am still in office. Something important has come up.”
Before Betsy had a chance to protest, he added, “How about we go to your favorite restaurant
tonight? I can meet you there in an hour.”
“No problem Dan. Will love to. See you there soon.” Said Betsy cheerfully.
He smiled to himself sensing the happiness in her voice, but more because he had caused it!
He booted his laptop and started recording his thoughts.
The weekend had already started for rest of The Global Company.
