Dan and Betsy were having a wonderful weekend. Dan had already told Betsy that he will

need to spend Sunday afternoon working on an important project. He wanted to reflect on

the new learnings and crystalize them into workable action steps.

Unlike the past, Betsy did not complain as she was really enjoying the new Dan, who had

become more understanding and caring; probably for the first time after marriage he was

listening to her and they were truly communicating. She did not know what had caused this

welcome change, but she did not want to probe for the fear of breaking the spell. ‘It is fine if

Dan wants to take the Sunday afternoon to himself; the more important thing is that now he is with me

whenever we are together. Unlike the past when he was physically with me, but his mind was somewhere else!’

After a lazy Brunch with some close friends, Dan and Betsy returned home. Dan had been

with her all weekend. They had wonderful time at Betsy’s favorite restaurant on Friday night,

spent almost the whole day at the golf club together on Saturday and watched a concert in the

night. It was one of those rare weekends that Betsy dreamt of. They had not had such a good

one for years.

“I hope you don’t mind my leaving you alone for few hours Bet” asked Dan.
