Data Collection
To answer the research questions and guarantee a full
understanding of peoples opinions, likes and dislikes of
different aspects of the tourism sector. This study utilised
and combined the results between multiple data points.
Based on research design, interviews and surveys have
been used as a methodological approach. This allows for
a quantitative and qualitative data collection to show
what insights tourists and locals feel and expected from
past trips they have taken to Ireland. This research based
on the results of surveys aim to assess and understand
what perceptions and opinions people have on the
tourism sector. From analysing the survey data patterns
can be defined and extracted, this can then help to
problem solve and reach a solution for making an
interactive design response for information access and
tourism location promotion. To explore a deep and more
detailed opinions and insights interviews will be utilised
for a qualitative dimension to the research to further fill in
any existing gaps or uncertainty on what can be
improved or needed for the sector.
