                                                                                               Sep 2024 – Dec 2024

                                                                                               Discovery phase



                                                                                               Conducting desk research and producing a literature review based on the findings.

                                                                                               The literature review Will contain ways in which people interact with tourism,

                                                                                               current solutions and technologies being used to aid tourism, how people view
                                                                                               their travel experience.




                                                                                               An analysis of the literature review will be used to uncovered data and gaps in

                                                                                               research.
                                                                                               An analysis of current solutions to fully understand downfalls and the current

                                                                                               experience tourists are facing.








                                                                                               Nov 2024 – Feb 2025

                                                                                               Definition phase



                                                                                               The phase will help define a problem statement that can lead field research.

                                                                                               This phase will include qualitative and quantitative data. These data collection
                                                                                               methods will be done in the form of surveys and interviews. An analysis of these

                                                                                               results will be utilised to help answer the research question. Therefore, identifying

                                                                                               consumer wants, needs and their pains while navigating and touring Ireland.
                                                                                               This phase will also contain empathy maps, to narrow down on problem areas,

                                                                                               stakeholder maps and persona boards to show primary users potential needs.
