Interview Data Collection To help guide the interviews, I developed an interview guide and

representing typical user types. I chose a semi-structured interview
format because I wanted to hear users’ honest feelings, pain points, and
expectations in a natural, open conversation.

After the sessions, I asked each interviewee to mark on a campus map
the navigation signs they remembered noticing. This helped me better
understand which signage elements users actually pay attention to in
their daily campus routines — and which ones might be overlooked,
ignored, or confusing.
