CHAPTER THREE
I conducted an in-depth analysis of the internal navigation facilities of
seven buildings (A, C, CSB, D, F, G, L) at SETU Carlow Campus. In the
early data collection stage, I photographed the existing navigation signs
in the seven buildings and coded them for archiving.
On this basis, I divided the navigation signs into two categories
according to their functional types: "DS" stands for Direction Signs and
"IS" stands for Information Signs. I organized the existing navigation
signs in the seven main buildings into a navigation sign evaluation table,
and listed the common types of navigation problems on the left side of
the table, using different color codes to distinguish different problems.
Each row in the table corresponds to a navigation sign, and each column
represents a problem. When a navigation sign has a problem, the
corresponding cell will be filled with the corresponding color.
