Material Surface Finish Template - (Marble)
Description:
Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized
carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite
or dolomite. Marble is typically not foliated (layered),
although there are exceptions.
Rationale:
I chose marble because I think it is a very interesting/ beautiful material.
It has quite a complex finish, as there is a depth to
the material (because it is layered), and it has nice reflective elements.
Applications + Samples:
Natural Marble is used principally for buildings and monuments, Natural
interior decoration, statuary, table tops, and novelties.
(Original) Colour and appearance are their most important qualities. (Replicated)
