A Celebration of 75 Years of Sisterhood and Service Epsilon Gamma Ome-
ga and Gamma Mu Chapters Celebrate at the Legends Ball

The city’s social event of the year was an epic event, as Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Incorporated – Epsilon Gamma Omega, (EGO) and Gamma Mu
Chapters celebrated 75 years of outstanding service in the Huntsville/
Madison County community, the South Eastern Region, and across the
country. This star-studded event was Chaired by Dr. Wilma Ruffin, and Cochaired by Mrs. Blannie Batts,
and Mrs. Sharon Benford-Boclair.

This grand finale event was held on Saturday, March 16th , 2024 at The Legends Ball: Diamond Jubilee of
Legends- Celebrating 75 Years of Soaring to Greater Heights. The black-tie event at the Von Braun Center
Saturn Ballroom was very well appointed. The event was well attended as we hosted over 400 guests. The
Legends Ball was an extraordinary, memorable, and monumental evening of honoring our “Living Leg-
ends”.
