NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION WORKSHOP

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Gamma Omega
Chapter New Member Orientation Workshop, orchestrated by
the Reactivation/Transfer Sub-Committee, was held on Saturday,
June 10, 2017 on the campus of Alabama A&M University in the
James I. Dawson Building.

Soror Tonya Wood, Chairman Membership Committee presided
over the event. Soror
Wilma Ruffin, Basileus,
brought greetings, and
meditation was by Soror
Renee Knight, Chaplain.
Soror Phyllis Roberts
(Membership Committee)
kicked the event off to a
great start with a fun
icebreaker, which was followed by presenters who refreshed our new
members on the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated International
Targets, Parliamentary Tidbits, and EGO Chapter Mentoring Program,
the Mentor- Mentee Connection,
Nurturing our Ivy.

This event culminated with the introduction
of Mentor-Mentee Connections by Soror
Dawn Stanley (Membership Committee).
Each new member to EGO was connected
with a mentor prior to the workshop.
“Connections" were introduced during the
activity. Mentors and Mentees received a
Pink treat bag as a thank you gift for
attending the workshop. EGO Chapter is
tickled pink and graciously green for our
newest members, and we look forward to
using their energy, excitement and talents!

Soror Waikita Tilley was presented a prize, a recycled 2015 South Eastern
Regional Conference bag for being the first new Soror to RSVP to this
