“We Are One” North Precinct Block Party

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ~ Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter, distributed 300 backpacks to
children at the "We Are One" Huntsville Police North Precinct's Annual Community Block Party. The
Backpacks Committee Chairperson is Shirley Clemons.

Sponsored by the Huntsville Police Department,
Alabama A&M University and the North
Huntsville Crime Watch Association, this FREE
event was held Saturday, May 20th from 10:30
a.m. to 3 p.m. on the campus of Alabama A&M,
in the field between the North Precinct and Louis
Crews Stadium. There was food, inflatables,
performances from local high school bands,
Burwell's Martial Arts, Tommy Friend, Union
Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Praise
Dancers and Gospel Artist and Songwriter
Monica Phipps Stewart.
