Childhood Hunger (Lunches of Love)

Poverty is a reality for many families in
North Alabama. Lunches of Love, a
501(c)(3) non-profit organization aims to
make sure kids don’t go hungry once they
go home on the weekends.

committee collaborated with the Lunches of Love Program, the Monrovia
Elementary School, Target I – One Million Backpacks, Target II – Health
Promotions, Dr. David E. Yarborough, D.D.S. and Dr. Matthew Limbaugh,
DMD to provide 55 backpacks filled with snacks, water, toiletries, toothpaste,
toothbrush and floss. Sorors packed the backpacks on May 18th and delivered
them to the school on May 22nd.
