The Longest Day

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 was the first day of summer and it is also known
as “The Longest Day”. To celebrate, Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter,
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated went to the Robert "Bob"
Harrison Senior Wellness and Advocacy Center to visit some of the senior
citizens. We played bingo with them, served snacks, and gave them brain
teasers (Sudoku and crossword puzzles). I also got a chance to speak about
the Miss Black Rocket City Pageant and share how this pageant can impact
the Huntsville area. This was a great experience to celebrate the fight
against Alzheimer's Disease.

June 21, 2017, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter participated in
activities for the Longest Day. This day acknowledges the journey of those living with Alzheimer's Disease
and their caregivers. AKA-EGO played Bingo with members of the Bob Harrison Senior Center, presented
information during Bible Study at local churches and wore purple for the day.
