Prom Dress Drive

On Saturday, March 10, 2018 the sorors of Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
had the pleasure of partnering with WEUP’s LaShay B, radio personality, for her Annual Prom Dress Drive. This
event started as a one time event, six years ago, to assist young ladies in our community who did not have the
means to get the essentials needed to attend prom. After the success of the first Prom Dress Drive, LaShay B has
continued to reach out to the community for assistance every year during prom season collecting items and services
needed so that all young ladies that want to attend the prom can do so if they desire and be able to look like a prin-
cess at no charge due to the generosity of our community.

It was an absolute pleasure to yet once again meet another need in our community by donating our "new" or "gently
new" prom/formal dresses to young ladies desiring to attend the prom. This would not have been a successful or
possible if it wasn't for the generosity of our EGO Sorors. thank you so much sorors for your willingness to serve
the community. With your help we collected 66 items to give to the prom dress drive. These items included dresses,
shoes, bags and jewelry. Just know that because of you a young lady's dream will come true, she will look stunning
on her prom night.

Again, thank you for all you do "serve all mankind" and assisting Target III with executing another successful sea-
sonal wrap drive.
