Target III Financial Fitness Alpha Kandied Apple Fall Festival
On Monday, October 16, 2017, the Target III Financial Fitness subcommittee collaborated with the Childhood Hun-
ger subcommittee and provided banks for 100 children, finance books for parents as door prizes, a weekly budget
tracking sheet, and made available a local realtor to educate parents on the home buying process regarding budget-
ing and saving. Vendor, April Parker, a realtor and realtist, specializes in the area of home buying, finances, sav-
ing, budgeting, etc. met with adults and dialogued with them about their finance needs, status towards purchasing a
home, etc. This event was held in observance of the AKA Community Impact Day at the James A. Lane Boys and
Girls Club for the families who attend the afterschool program and the community members in general.
