Ravenshead Newsletter 03/2022 - 29
Meeting at Ravens Lodge, Main Road,
Ravenshead, Call 01623 491159
Thank You!
Stuart Bestwick, has retired as Chair of Cornwater Evergreens. The
Board of Trustees would like to thank Stuart for the fantastic
contribution he has made to the charity during his tenure. He has led
Cornwater Evergreens through the pandemic and has maintained a
stable financial position which will enable us to continue to provide
our services to our current members and welcome future new
members.
Stuart said: “At our AGM, earlier this month, my two years as Chair of
Cornwater Evergreens came to a close. There is no doubt it has
been a challenging but rewarding two years.”
Despite the various lockdown periods, we managed to find a way to
engage with our members through an innovative delivery service.
We’ve also moved our Mansfield shop to much larger premises near
the marketplace and invested in a range of new activities for our
members. The Lodge is fully open again for new members in both
our Friendship and Memory Groups and taster days are available for Melissa Blythe, CEO, left with Stuart Bestwick, Trustee
potential new members.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication, innovation and hard work of our CEO, Melissa Blythe, her fantastic
team, the volunteers and the other Trustees on our Board. So, in my last act as Chair I’d like to say a big “thank you” to all those
involved. Finally, I’d like to pass on my best wishes to our new Chair, Edward Johnstone, who I will be supporting as Vice Chair and
Finance Trustee.
Melissa Blythe, CEO, said: “On behalf of myself, the staff and volunteers, I would like to thank Stuart for his unwavering support. I had
only recently become CEO when Stuart became Chair and I have appreciated his guidance and encouragement.”
