TsKBM sent
equipment to
Hungary
TsKBM JSC (part of the machine-building division
of Rosatom - Atomenergomash) manufactured and
shipped equipment for the Hungarian NPP Paks. A unit
of the main circulation pump GTsN-317 - a guide vane
with a thermal barrier was sent to the station.
Main circulation pumps (MCP) are an integral part
of the reactor plant: they provide intensive circulation of
the coolant in the primary loop of the reactor. The guide
vanes of the pumps are used to distribute the flows of
the pumped heat carrier. At the Paks NPP, VVER-440
reactors are used, in which specially prepared water
serves as a coolant. Currently, four power units are in
operation. The power plant produces about 50% of all
electricity generated in Hungary. TsKBM JSC regularly
supplies spare parts to the Paks NPP for scheduled
preventive maintenance of the main circulation pumps.
The Central Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering (founded in 1945) is one of the
leading enterprises of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, which has a multidisciplinary
design team, its own research, experimental and production facilities. TsKBM is a developer and
manufacturer of main circulation pumps for VVER reactors. In addition, the company designs
and manufactures hermetic, cantilever, feed, emergency pumps for nuclear power plants and
a wide range of remotely controlled equipment for handling radioactive materials. TsKBM also
offers technological solutions in the field of thermal energy, gas and petrochemicals (LNG
technologies), shipbuilding and equipment for solid waste processing plants.
