Low-noise compressor units with screw rotor HP 7,5-10-15 (SPINN series) surpass in
popularity all other compressors used for supplying compressed air in small workshops with CNC
machines. Their main advantage is their small size and low noise combined with low vibration.
All this makes it possible to use these compressors in the immediate vicinity of compressed
air consumers (CNC machines) and, moreover, without installing them on a special foundation
platform. Compressors of the SPINN series have an electronic (automatic) control system, which
significantly contributes to energy saving during their operation. In comparison, for example,
with piston-type compressors, these machines are indeed a sign of the technological order of
the III millennium.
However, what they have in common
with other compressors operating in our
engineering industry is the frivolous attitude
of the heads of metalworking shops and
repair services of enterprises to the issues
of periodic maintenance of such air-blowing
machines. And this frivolity is acquired against
the background of a complete lack of didactic
materials that reveal the operation and
maintenance of compressors, in particular
the SPINN series. However, some technical
incompetence of managers - both production
and repair links - in relation to new generation
compressors also does not contribute to the
organization of full-fledged maintenance
of compressors at enterprises. In order to
somehow clarify the features of the device
and maintenance of such machines, this
material is proposed.
