Procedure
Sales agents should press the panic alarm button which is a
silent panic alarm if they can safely get to it. If the robber
wants money or other items, then Sales agent should give it
to them without resistance.
The Office manager can file the police report while DSM
and/or RSM is getting to the office if they are not present.
Once the DSM and or RSM arrives at the office, then they
can take the lead.
If an alarm has been triggered the DSM will get the
notification first followed by RSM and then Facilities.
Notify HR of the incident and once contacted, HR will
contact IT to retrieve the footage from the incident. HR will
follow up with the employees impacted from the robbery to
ensure they are doing well and share information on the
Employee Assistance Program in case an employee needs
additional counseling.
NOTE: DSMs are required to periodically go over training
to make sure all retail staff are aware of the procedure in
case there is an emergency situation.
