HANDLING BURGLARY

Purpose

Provide guidance on how best to handle burglary.

Burglary is defined as: entry into a building illegally with

intent to commit a crime, especially theft. A burglary
most often happens after hours when there are no

employees present.

Applicability
In case of a break in, DSMs will be notified by the

alarm company and handle the situation.

Prerequisites

All employees should take training in robbery situations.

Responsibilities

DSM- in charge of getting the notification there was a

break in at a retail location.

RSM- should be notified of the situation and assist DSM
with anything related to the break in.
