FOUNDATIONS OF
MANAGEMENT
Purpose
To improve leadership capacity in order to positively impact team member
and manager interactions.
Applicability
The course will teach agents the fundamentals of what it takes to be a great
leader and manager.
Prerequisites
New Manager to A-MAX; or refresher for existing
Responsibilities
Foundations of Management Learning Facilitator will facilitate the course
Procedure:
Most new managers have the technical skills to succeed; however, they often lack the
leadership skills needed to move their teams to success. The Foundations of
Management Program is designed to help managers develop skills to help manage,
motivate, and develop their employees. It’s about the best practices that managers can
apply in order to manage and motivate people, lead high performing teams, and engage
people in the continuous improvement of work processes.
The program is divided into 3 skill blocks:
Managing and motivating individuals
Leading high performing teams
Engaging people in the continuous improvement of work processes
The 3 skill blocks altogether are further divided into 13 sections, each of which have a
series of lectures.
