        10. Reporting Changed Information



        You are legally required to report certain changes to Medicaid within 10 days of the change

        occurring. Failure to report changes can result in overpayments that you may have to repay, or
        even allegations of fraud.


        Changes You Must Report

             Change of address or living situation,
             Change  in  income  (Social  Security  increases,  pension  changes,  starting  to  receive  new

             income, etc.),

             Change in assets (receiving an inheritance, life insurance payout, selling property, etc.),
             Change in marital status,
             Change in health insurance coverage,
             Change in care setting (moving from home to facility or vice versa), and/or
             Death of spouse or dependent.
