Editing the Footer
Select the Editor within the Appearance menu
on the Dashboard. As before you will find
Navigation, Styles, Pages, Templates and
Patterns. Click on Patterns and you will get the
Pattern menu seen here. Circled is a section
titled Template parts and below that is Header
and Footer. A template is a pattern that
appears on every page and in this case covers
everything at the top and the bottom of the
page. If you take a look at the demo site the
footer says, ‘Theme developed by u3a
SiteWorks team’. If you want a variation of this
message on your own site then click on Footer
within this menu, make your changes, and save
them.
The footer is also where the ‘Terms of Use’ can be found. We’ll discuss these
soon but it is here in the footer area where you can reposition that footer if you
want to.
