The screenshot on
the right shows our
Welcome page on
Site Builder and
SiteWorks. This
was a data extract
about three
months ago.
It’s great inasmuch
as all of the
content has
migrated including
the text, photos,
and page links and
that all of the links
work.
The page is way
too busy so I shall
take this
opportunity to
restructure the
content.
This page will take
some thought and
will take much
longer than the
Home page but I
want to keep most
of the content though have it in different places.
It will be easy enough to copy and paste to where I want it but I’m going to need
a plan. This page will become multiple pages and is going to be one of the most
time-consuming. My initial thoughts are that it will easily be 2-3 hours but much
of this will be the planning so with some advanced preparation I should be able
to reduce the time needed to build this page on the server.
I’m a Phase 3 Pioneer and this group will be starting the training and migration in
January 2024. Because I’m involved with the project in the training capacity this
has given me the opportunity to try out a number of different approaches. I have
been trying out different page and content layouts using Local and moving
content between pages to achieve the look I am aiming for. Knowing now that
the migration tool is so good, I have repeated some of these changes on my Site
Builder site. In this way the content will be on the right page when I migrate. I’ll
still have to format it on the server but I’ll save time on moving content around
