P. 57
V 1.1 February 2024
You will see two boxes on screen with the one on the left larger than the one on
the right. Each of these columns can contain different types of data. Click into
the larger one and you will be prompted to add a block. Choose paragraph and
then add whatever text you want to go along with your pdf.
Click into the right column and this time select Button as your block and a button
will appear. On the button type the text you want visitors to see to describe
your link and then select the link icon from the menu. Type in the name of the
pdf you want and when it is found in the library it will appear below the button.
Select it and the link is made.
Using the button block menu you can
change the colour of the button and
the text and you can also modify the
appearance of the text. In this case I
have made the text bold so that it
stands out well against the yellow
background of the button. This is the
same process as you used earlier
when colourising text and background
when you were editing pages.
Add links to an external website to a page
Perhaps you want to reference an external website. The process is very similar.
Instead of creating a link to a library file I copied and pasted the URLs of the
external sites into the links and here are the results. The first links to Kynren and
the second to NGS.
