Trip to

Garden of Dreams

We went to the Garden of Dreams on Friday. It was a

school trip and we were going to learn more about Rana archi-
tecture. The Garden of Dreams is in Thamel, Tridevi Marga. The

reason why we went there was because we could see the modern
design and the neoclassical style of architecture used by the Ra-
nas.

There we could see the architecture that was made famous

by Ranas. We studied about Nepal History in Term II and knowing
about the two major types of architectural styles used in our coun-
try was a part of that study. We needed more information about

Rana architecture to do comparative study on Malaa and Rana
architecture. That’s why we also went on many trips to places like

Bhaktapur and Changu Narayan.

When we went there I felt great. I could see the wonderful

garden and the pavilions with tall pillars there. It was a beautiful
place with lovely flowers and joyful six seasonal flowers.
