Conditions Applying to your Annual Holiday Entitlement
The conditions applying to your annual holiday entitlement are shown in your
contract of employment. In addition, you should complete the Absence Request
Form for all holiday requests and have it signed by your Line Manager at least
four weeks before making any firm holiday arrangements.
Holiday requests will only be considered if you present them on the Absence
Request Form and we will allocate agreed holiday dates on a “first come - first
served” basis whilst ensuring that operational efficiency and appropriate
staffing levels are maintained throughout the year.
Your holiday pay will be at your normal basic pay unless shown otherwise on
your contract of employment.
During the Christmas/New Year period, the Office is closed and you will be
required to reserve three days from your annual leave entitlement for this
purpose.
Public/Bank Holidays
Your entitlement to public/bank holidays is shown in your individual contract of
employment. The Company may require you to work on public/ bank holidays.
Notification of Incapacity for Work
When working in the Office:
You must notify us by telephone on the first day of incapacity by 8.30 am in
accordance with your Contract of Employment. Notification should be made
personally (or if you are unable to do so, then by a relative, neighbour or friend),
to your Line Manager. You should try to give some indication of your expected
return date and notify us as soon as possible if this date changes.
When working away for Business, including on site etc:
You must contact your Line Manager as soon as possible
if you think you may be unable to travel in advance, and
urgently, if you know you cannot travel, in order cover can
be obtained and travel arrangements made.
If your incapacity extends to more than seven days you are
required to notify us of your continued incapacity once a
week thereafter, unless otherwise agreed.
Evidence of Incapacity
Evidence of incapacity should be provided in accordance
with your Contract of Employment.
