Help Desk Represents!
Field Operations Help Desk Agents Felicia Crumbley and Lolita Pope recently attended the Council of Accountabil-
ity Court Judges (CACJ) Training Conference as an Exhibitor representing DDS. The Training Conference was held
at The Classic Center in Athens, Georgia. At the Conference, the Team had an opportunity to speak with Account-
ability Court attendees on the services that our DDS Accountability Court Help Desk offers to Accountability Courts
throughout the state of Georgia. The attendees consisted of court officials: State and Superior Court Accountability
Court Judges, Coordinators, Case Managers, Probation Officers, Defense Attorneys and Prosecutors. Attending the
training conference was an opportunity to attend their workshops that gave a glance at how the Accountability
Courts provide alternative sentencing for those who have mental illness and/or a substance use disorder.
The goal of the Accountability Courts is to restore participants to productive, working, tax-paying citizens who pro-
vide for their families, thereby reducing costs to social services and the penal system. Our DDS Accountability Court
Help Desk provides assistance to accountability courts officials and participants to facilitate the implementation
of O.C.G.A 40-5-76 (DDS provides suspension, reinstatement, or issuance of limited permits of driver’s licenses for
participants in drug, mental health, veterans, operating under the influence, or family treatment court divisions).
Great job Felicia and Lolita! Thanks for all that you do!
