Need a Voter ID?
DDS is doing our part to spread the word about how to get a free Voter ID. The Legislature provided
our Agency funding for marketing this important program which began October 1. Radio spots,
digital and television advertisements will be airing statewide. Remember, DDS issues a free Voter ID to
anyone who doesn't have an acceptable form of photo ID and needs it to vote. Before issuance, the
customer must provide the identity, residency and social security informations as all issuances require.
While the latest press says that around 2% of registered voters are in need of Voter IDs, we must be sure
to know the issuance process for those that do request it.
