156 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

Christmas Time with Family

We were at our cousin's house getting ready for Christmas. Me, my brothers, Abija and

Alimon, and our cousins, Steve, Remon, and Melody, are playing around in the living room. One

of my cousins was about five feet tall and another one of my cousins was probably three feet tall.

Both of my brothers were there. One of my brothers was only three feet tall while the youngest

was only two feet tall. I was probably four feet tall at the time. We were all goofing around in the

living room waiting for lunch. Our moms and grandma were in the kitchen cooking food. My

mom, Kimberly, is like five feet tall, and I don't really know my grandma's height. Our aunt was

about five feet tall, too. They were all cooking delicious food for everyone, and the aroma in the

air smelled flavorful and appetizing.

Our dads were in the garage chatting. My dad is about five feet tall but taller than my

mom. My uncle is probably a little taller than my dad. My grandpa was sleeping. They were all

just chatting in the garage. I don't know what they're chatting about.

When our moms and grandma finished cooking, we all prayed and started eating. Once

we finished eating, we just chatted and the kids played… We don’t open presents in the evening.

We always wait until it’s nighttime to open our presents.

When it was about 7 pm, everyone gathered in the living room.

The dads stand or lean on the wall. My grandpa who is finally awake

sits on a chair. My mom and my aunt sit on the couch, and all the kids

sit around the presents under the tree. When it is time to open our

presents, there is one slight move we have to do. We have to dance in

order to get our presents. I got a set of coloring tools and paper, but I

can't remember what everyone else got.
