                                                                                 By Jordy G.

It was very dark and then suddenly, there

was light. I was born. I was now the youngest

in the family. It has been that way even up until

now. I grew up in a home with two bedrooms,

but there were six people living there,

sometimes even seven. Like most people, I

wasn't very rich growing up, but at least I had a

home. I never had my own room, and I still

don't have my own room. I used to share a room with my sisters, sleeping in the corner on a

couch that turned into a bed. That was the only time I ever spent time in that room, just sleeping

there. When I was out of bed, I was usually outside playing with my friends. All my friends

were always older than me. When they were teenagers I was still in elementary school, but I still

hung out with them. I was always outside, very strong, and fit. If I still worked out as much as I

did before, I would be breaking world records or something(lies). Life was pretty bright for me.

I never had any screens or phones like everyone else did, and I still don't really use my phone.

People are surprised when they see me on the phone at school.

On a bright morning, I opened my eyes, struggling while being blinded by the rays of

sunshine from the living room window right next to me. I got up and realized it was Saturday!

Although it was Saturday, it didn't really matter. I never did anything interesting on the

weekends and I still don't, but it was in the summertime. I woke up with this mindset expecting
