My mother was a short-haired, innocent, little girl, who did what she was told and stayed
“out of the way”. My mom grew up in a tiny town in eastern Arkansas called Osceola founded in
1937. Osceola is home to famous
people like Buddy Jewell
(country singer), Cortez Kennedy,
and Maurice Carthon (NFL
players). She was a very artistic
person. She loved to paint, do arts
and crafts, and cook. My mother
was involved in everything the
school offered, such as JROTC,
FBLA, FCCLA, chess club,
dance club, and many more groups. (Sports etc) My mother was a chill person but she was very
outgoing and outspoken. She stood up for anyone. She would tell me that she used to sit with
kids who weren't as popular as others and talk to them and grow friendships with them.
When my mom was younger, she used to go to Indiana for the summer with my Uncle
Snoop to see her aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents. In Indiana, they would visit other
family and friends in Wisconsin. When my mom was in Wisconsin, she would go to the fair and
one of the most popular water parks in the U.S., Wisconsin Dells aka Waterpark Capital of the
World. Wisconsin Dells was founded and created in the 1850s by Bryon Kilbourn.
