PARTICULAR ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

1.10 CREW ROOM & CREW TOILETS
Where the scope of the project includes the refurbishment of the crew room the Electrical
Contractor will provide the following:
1.10.1 General Power Distribution
1.10.1.1 Crew Room
Provide a minimum of two standard twin switched socket outlets at low level in the crew
room for the connection of an iron and other miscellaneous equipment.
Provide a supply for room cooling unit, located above the ceiling.
Provide a twin switched socket outlet at high level for the connection of the TV, at the
location indicated on the Architects’ general arrangement drawing, unless otherwise
directed by the Project Manager.
1.10.1.2 Crew Toilets
Provide hand dryers and fused connection units as indicated on the Architects’ general
arrangement drawing.
Each hand dryer will be provided with a dedicated fused connection unit mounted at high
level in the toilet space, the installation will be as described by the Technical Specifications
for Electrical Installations Generally.
1.10.1 IT Power Distribution
Provide a twin switched socket outlet for each PC desk at the location shown on the
Architects’ general arrangement drawing.
1.10.2 Television Installations
Supply and install a 42” colour, flat screen TV with Freeview receiver in the crew room, the
TV will be mounted at high level on a purpose made multi-angle bracket. The TV will be
supplied complete with a remote control for the use of the staff.
Install a Freeview aerial on the roof of the store and extend the aerial cable to a UHF outlet
in the crew room to be located adjacent to the TV power socket.
Cabling between the aerial and the crew room socket will be installed as satellite grade, co-
axial cable.
