DOMINO’S PIZZA GROUP September 2018 v1.1
3.1 FINISHES
Within the customer area, our palette of finishes must be
simple but not plain, interesting but not overly complex
and remain functional. In order to improve the customer
experience wall, floor and ceiling finishes will be used to
create distinct zones whilst maintaining visual links between
the customer areas and the bake and serve.
Generally our finishes should be set out as follows:
• Timber effect vinyl plank flooring laid parallel to the
counter line in a random pattern to add interest and
allow future maintenance and replacement.
• Grey lay in ceiling grid (and tiles), with real timber
feature beams at random spacings. The ceiling
feature beams should run from the shopfront through
to the menu boards suspended behind the counter.
• A timber feature wall, running vertically to connect
the floor planks with the ceiling beams and creating a
defined zone for banquette or low level eat in seating
areas.
• Icon graphic wall to promote brand messaging and
add vibrant colour to a limited area around the
counter / collect point.
• A chalkboard effect graphic applied to the first 2/3rds
of the customer area, abutting a contrasting tile /
timber finish.
• Large format (textured) white or grey tiles to break up
graphics, chalkboard and timber materials.
