Inconsistent p-f intervals
As previously stated, one of the criteria for selecting OC maintenance is that the p-f interval be
consistent. That means that for all assets of a given type, the p-f is the same. In truth, that’s highly
unlikely and variation is to be expected - within reason.
If there is too much variation then it may not be possible to recommend an OC task for the failure
mode being analysed but, if the variation is close enough to be a trend then the interval should be
based on the shortest p-f interval.
