1. Leading scorer on 1937 Rossville team that upset defending state champion
Frankfort in the Sectional.
2. Named to 1937 All-State team by Lafayette newspaper.
3. Played basketball at Purdue & was Team Captain as a senior.
4. Played professional basketball for Dow Chemical.
5. Head Coach at Lebanon & Kendallville, winning 4 Sectionals.
6. 1962 Silver Anniversary Team.
Mike Jones
High School: Pine Village (1953) College: Indiana State (1959) Induction: 2005
1. Head Basketball Coach at Rossville from 1964-77.
a. Won 4 Sectional, 3 Regional, & 5 Hoosier Conference titles.
b. 3-consecutive Semi-State appearances from 1969-71.
2. 4 letters in basketball & 3 in baseball at Pine Village H.S.
3. Earned 4 letters in basketball for head coach Duane Klueh & 2 in Track at Indiana
State.
4. Held coaching positions at Roachdale, Cathedral, Rossville, Wawasee, & Delphi.
a. Overall, won 6 Sectional, 3 Regional, 7 conference, & 6 holiday
tournament titles.
Ralph Jones
High School: Indpls. Shortridge (1901) College: Induction: 2011
1. Pioneering coach that had coaching stops @ Crawfordsville, Wabash College,
Purdue, & the university of Illinois.
2. Won 4 Big Ten titles & the Helms’ National Championship w/ his 1915 Illinois
squad.
3. Head Coach of the Chicago Bears in 1932.
4. Coaching tree includes Ward Lambert, Pete Vaughan, George Halas, Tug Wilson,
Everett Case, & Burt Ingwersen.
