Tippecanoe County Athletic Conference
The Tippecanoe County Athletic Conference was formed in 1921 by teams from Tippecanoe County. The
conference will operate through the 1965-66 school year. The Tippecanoe County Tournament will operate annually
from 1921-70. The county tournament will be played at the Lafayette Jeff H.S. Gym throughout its existence.

the tournament will be held at the Lafayette Jeff Gym on N. 9 St.
b. Lafayette Jeff will not participate in the county tournament. West Lafayette & Central Catholic will only play
sporadically.
Tippecanoe County Athletic Conference Timeline
1921: The Tippecanoe County Athletic Conference is formed.
Membership: Battle Ground, Buck Creek, Clarks Hill, Dayton, Jackson Twp., Klondike, Monitor,
Montmorenci, Romney, Shadeland, Stockwell, Wea, West Point
1955: Clarks Hill & Stockwell consolidate to form Lauramie Twp. The Colts will maintain membership in the TCC.
Montmorenci leaves the TCC to join the Prairie Conference.
1956: Jackson Twp., Romney, Shadeland, Wea, West Point consolidate to form Southwestern. The Wildcats will
become a member of the Hoosier Conference.
1958: Buck Creek & Monitor consolidate to form East Tipp. East Tipp will maintain membership in the TCC.
1961: Klondike leaves the TCC to join the Midwest Conference.
1966: Dayton & Lauramie Twp. will consolidate to form Wainwright. East Tipp, Southwestern, & Wainwright
will move to the Mid-Central Conference. The TCC disbands after the 1965-66 school year. The
Tippecanoe County Tournament will continue through the 1969-70 school year.
