Newton County Athletic Conference
The Newton County Athletic Conference was formed in 1930 by teams from Newton County. The conference will
operate through the 1932-33 school year. The conference will then merge w/ the Jasper County Conference to form
the Kankakee Valley Conference.
Newton County Athletic Conference Timeline
1930: The Newton County Athletic Conference is formed.
Membership: Brook, Goodland, Kentland, Morocco, Mount Ayr
1933: All five schools merge w/ the Jasper County schools to form the Kankakee Valley Conference.
North Central Conference

The North Central Conference was formed at a March 23 , 1926 meeting of 10 schools at Kokomo H.S.
North Central Conference Timeline
1926: NCC is formed on March 23, 1926.
Membership: Anderson, Frankfort, Indianapolis Arsenal Tech, Kokomo,
Lebanon, Logansport, Muncie Central, New Castle,
Rochester, Richmond
1931: Rochester withdrawals from the NCC after the 1930-31 school year.
Lafayette Jeff joins the NCC starting in the 1931-32 school year.
1933: Lebanon withdraws from the NCC after the 1932-33 school year. Marion joins the NCC starting in the 1933-34
school year.
1960: Arsenal Tech is forced to join the IPSAC & withdraws from the NCC.
1965: Frankfort announces that it is withdrawing from the NCC after the 1965-66 school year.
2003: Lafayette Jeff announces that they will leave the NCC after the 2002-03 school year. Huntington North joins
the NCC & begins play during the 2003-04 school year.
2013: New Castle announces that they are leaving the NCC after the 2013-14 season to join the Hoosier Heritage
Conference. The NCC voted in the Fall of 2013 to remove New Castle immediately.
2014: Harrison, Lafayette Jeff, & McCutcheon join the NCC.
2015: Huntington North withdrawals from the NCC. Arsenal Tech joins the NCC & begins play in the 2015-16
school year.

Marion, McCutcheon, Muncie Central, Richmond
