Operational Excellence Guide

    CASH HANDLING



    It is important to maintain excellent cash management practices to
    ensure that any errors are minimised. Discrepancies can be very time
    consuming to resolve and take time away from serving your customers.
    Please ensure that:

    •  At least two colleagues are fully trained in all cash handling
       processes and that the process is not always completed by the
       same person
    •  There is a designated area of the branch for cash handling, which is
       near the cash safe

    •  Cashing up and the Till Balance review takes place daily and
       banking is done weekly as per operational guidance
