“I’ve worked in pharmacy since 2018 and qualified
as a dispenser in 2020. I started as a Medicines
Counter Assistant (MCA) at Asda Leicester during
my final year of studying Medical Biochemistry.
After nearly three years in community pharmacy, I
moved to London to work in a hospital clinical trials
pharmacy, where I began my pharmacy technician
apprenticeship.
After experiencing the fast-paced environment of
London, I wanted a change—something different but
still within pharmacy. I’ve always been interested in
how technology can improve healthcare, and working
with the Golden Tote team perfectly aligned with
that passion.
I love that my role allows me to meet new people
and support pharmacies across the UK. I also get to
see firsthand how Golden Tote optimises pharmacy
workflows, making a real difference in delivering
healthcare where it matters most.
Members often tell me how much they appreciate
the full support we provide during installs. We’re
on-site for two to four days, guiding the entire team
through the system and ensuring it works with their
existing workflow. Every pharmacy is different, so we
tailor our support to their specific needs. Plus, each
site has a dedicated specialist, and we’re always
available for ongoing support after installation.
Most of my day-to-day work involves supporting
Golden Tote customers. This could mean being on-
site for an install—on day one, I work with technical
support to ensure the software is correctly installed
across all computers. From there, I train each staff
member to ensure they feel confident using the
system. Some days, I revisit customers to help
resolve issues, while on others, I might be providing
