This piece is intentionally cropped at both the top and
bottom. I wanted the focus on her eyes and smile. I love
this portrait as she exudes the pure and positive self-
confidence lost in so many girls and young women today. I
envision the angels saying “Oh yay she is awake for another
day!” And sisters are connected through the heart, not
necessarily by blood.
