GLINDA CLARK’s Glinda’s strong faith in God and her dedication to the community, especially
service to the youth, have been an intricate part of her life since a very young age. It was during
her attendance at Boys and Girls High School where her lifelong commitment to helping the
youth began by becoming a Youth Counselor of the Vanguard Program. She went on to
further her education at Long Island University, later working for the Graham Windham
organization with troubled youth. Glinda is a dedicated lifelong member of First A.M.E.
Zion Church of Brooklyn, New York since the age of 15, when she joined the Youth
Missionary (Ys) under the leadership of Sis. Martha Taylor (Tucker). At age 17, she was
the youngest to be appointed Class Leader. In addition, she serves as the Youth Director
to the Board of Christian Education and a Sunday School teacher of the Young Peoples’
Class. She is also certified and proficient in sign language. Glinda is an active member of
the Mid-Bedford Heights Lions International Organization, and she is also a member-at-large of the Village
Incorporated. Glinda was a Girl Scout Leader for 35 years of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York. In
addition, she also started the back-pack drive program 12 years ago that serves the Bedford-Stuyvesant
community, First A.M.E. Zion Church and local schools. Glinda has a passion for music; she has sung on various
First Church choirs and professionally with Bishop Jeffrey White. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with
her family. Glinda is a pillar in the community; motivating, assisting and encouraging others to reach a higher
cause. She is an exemplary leader who continues to make a difference in the lives of others.

Addie Moss (RUSH TEMPLE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH)
ADDIE MOSS was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, and grew up on a farm. After
graduating from Mins High School in McCormick, SC, she moved north and settled in
Queens, where she met and married the late Lang Moss. They were married for 52
years. Sis. Moss has been a member of Rush Temple since 1978. She started working
in the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society as a Superintendent of the
Buds of Promise and Parent Body President for many years. She is a member of the
Stewardess Board, and currently she is serving in the capacity of President of the
Gospel Chorus for many years, Combined Choir, Mass Choir Rush, which is now
renamed as the Voices of Rush, President of the South Carolina Auxiliary
Ministry. She has continued her Missionary Service, sharing her skills from working in the Food Service
Industry as the Director of the Wednesday Soup Kitchen. She enjoys cooking and has fed over a thousand
people in the community. In addition, she volunteers in the Food Pantry and After School Tutorial
Program at her Church. It's not about how many titles are positions you hold, it's only what you do for
Christ that counts. Sis. Moss loves God and her church, and it shows through the love she puts into the
food she cooks for others. See, it's not only her physical cooking; it's the spirituality of determination to
be a witness to others that only what you do for Christ will last. She prays for God's blessings and favor
to continue for her, her family, and others, acknowledging that He has brought her from a mighty long
way. "Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye
have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40 KJV
