• Supporting Point 1: HP are focussing on selling HP FlexFabric with a “Converged Infrastructure”
message – managing server, storage and network through a common management platform.

• Supporting Point 2: FlexFabric modules (supporting FCoE) are 50% higher list price than Virtual
Connect (VC) modules.

• Supporting Point 3: The HP c7000 now supports converged I/O, there are still multiple cables from
each chassis to management, LAN and SAN switches and several layers of management.

• Supporting Point 4: Each HP c7000 chassis can accommodate up to 16 server blades plus
infrastructure modules for separate management of hardware, firmware and software; the cost of
the 17th server is very expensive.
