                                            MA32206 International Mathematics

Subject: International Mathematics Learning Area: Mathematics
Level: M5 Semester: 2 Time Allocation: 20 hours Credit: 0.5

The aim of the course is to encourage the students to understand, emphasize, analyse, criticize and
apply their knowledge and understanding to everyday situations. The approach to educate the students
involves the process of evaluating prior knowledge and their ability to express their views in correct
representation, forming a strong base for vocabularies and terminologies in the language of Mathematics,
studying and analysing the various concepts to be covered during the term and enabling the students to
develop their analytical thinking and expressive their views/ ideas. The students will develop critical thinking
and problem solving skills, alongside appreciating collaboration ,teamwork and leadership qualities. The
course promotes creativity and innovation among the students' intellect helping them develop learning
skills and career orientation. The fundamental criteria is to enable the students to recall and apply
mathematical knowledge, terminology and definitions. The students will be assessed on their ability to carry
out routine procedures or straightforward tasks requiring single or multi-step solutions in mathematical or
everyday situations including: organizing, processing and presenting information accurately in written,
tabular, graphical and diagrammatic forms using and interpreting mathematical notation correctly. The
students will be trained for performing calculations and procedures by suitable methods, including using a
calculator while understanding systems of measurement in everyday use and making use of these
estimating, approximating and working to degrees of accuracy appropriate to the context and converting
between equivalent numerical forms using geometrical instruments to measure and to draw to an
acceptable degree of accuracy recognizing and using spatial relationships in two and three dimensions. The
most promising goal is to enhance critical thinking ability and analytical approach in their everyday
               life.
The students will learn Mathematics with its language, nuances, uses, functions and processes,
through a series of activities. Varied learning methods are adapted to escalate individual attention and
development. Certain tasks will ensure the students working in groups/ pairs to evaluate the importance of
group dynamics and maximize personal growth.
By the end of the year, the students will have Love of nation, religion and king, Honesty and
integrity, Self-discipline, Avidity for learning, Observance of principles of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in
one’s way of life, Dedication and commitment to work, Cherishing Thai-ness, Public mindedness and Health
               and aesthetic images.

               Learning Outcome
                      1. Acquire a foundation of mathematical skills appropriate to further study and continued learning
