Provide gender sensitive business
development training to 320
participants. Building on the life
skills/financial literacy training, NEF
will provide gender and conflict
sensitive training to build 320
participants’ capacities for market
analysis, drawing on the market and
livelihoods capacity assessments and
other resources, assess the viability
of business ideas, design a business
plan, and develop practical
management skills. Risk management
and SGBV awareness/protection
themes will be integrated throughout
the training to integrate risk
management and mitigation strategies
(including economic competition),
improve beneficiaries’ understanding
and enjoyment of rights, promote
economic independence and decision-
making capacities, and increase
awareness of SGBV risks and
resources for survivors. Training will
take place over 5 days, using NEF’s
tested curriculum, and taking into
account the results of the market and
livelihoods assessment. NEF
encourages out-of-the-box thinking in
this ideation phase of the training to
avoid redundant business ideas and
decrease competition.
