External and International Affairs Office
Goal Statement
Support for internationalization efforts ranks high on the list of the University’s top management. So
far, we have forged numerous Memoranda of Understanding among foreign partners and we will
continue to do so. Research collaborations with respect to international partnership remain intact. In
addition, a Board of Regents (BOR) on approved student exchange guidelines is operational.
Strengthen the existing EIA office with the provisions of ample budget for its operation. Alternative
derivation could be made through outsourcing of funds from international institutions or grants-in-aid.
Securing of state-of-the-art Information and Communications Technology and Information System for
monitoring purposes is highly necessary. Further establish strong linkages among selected colleges and
universities in the ASEAN countries for faculty, staff, and student exchange, thereby giving impetus for
the creation of foreign language centers and international housing structures or dormitories designed
based from industrial standards.
Cultural programs for ISU and foreign students, faculty and staff could then be institutionalized.
