            NJLA5 (2018/19) - LEADing Toward the Future

            Are our schools and districts future-ready for student growth and success? The current class of kindergartners will graduate in 2030.
            How are we, as leaders, building the capacity of all educators to support student learning in the immediate future while building out
            the connections to prepare them for success when they graduate in ten years? How do we create an educational infrastructure that
            models the actions and behaviors that students will use to work in collaborative environments, accept responsibility for their deci-
            sions, build cultural competencies for living in an increasingly diverse world, and instill a mindset that includes curiosity, creativity and
            innovation? Participants in NJLA 5 will engage in activities and dialogue to explore strategies to:
            • Implement effective social and emotional learning processes that are essential to giving students a foundation for navigating
                the complexities of societal shifts;
            • Use technology to create instructional excellence and learning opportunities for students that foster inquiry, problem-solving,
                and risk-taking;
            • Create a collaborative culture that empowers teacher leaders to support implementing learning experiences that prepare
                students for the future.
            Fee: $450 for 3 sessions
